The Porsche 356 was Porsche’s first production automobile for sale - a lightweight and nimble-handling, rear-engine & rear-wheel drive . Engineering innovations continued during the years of manufacture, contributing to its motorsports success and popularity. In 1951 it emerged as a winner of the legendary 24-hour Le Mans race. In 1954 Richard von Frankenberg furthermore won the class in the Mille Miglia driving exact this model. The car is therefore also approved to participate in the Mille Miglia.
Therefore, the Porsche 356 became famous for extraordinary performance and aerodynamic design.
This special motor car is coming out of a private collection and represents an excellent piece of Porsche History. The rare "de Luxe" model comes with the type 528 Super engine which was built only for racing drivers. It is just as rare as the car itself.
This 356 was built in 1952 and delivered to the USA in 1953 to its first owner in New York via the famous Porsche importeur Max Hoffmann.
This beautiful Porsche 356 pre A is in absolutely all respects original.
Painted in its factory-correct pascha red the coupé comes with a matching full leather interior in beige.
The car got only repainted once about 30 years ago.

The rare "de Luxe" version comes with decorative rings on the wheels, Telefunken radio and full leather interior among other highlights.
With only ca. 70.000 miles since completion the car is in virtually as-new condition.
The Coupe never got restored nor ever completely disassembled into its individual parts.
All parts have matching numbers (including engine, gearbox, wheels etc..) which makes this car a true collector’s piece.
As a matter of prove of its originality the car comes with a FIVA pass.
